Jess hates me.

“What do you do with a bunch of kids who don’t know how to do anything but bang their heads all day long?” YOU CRUMBLE F*CKING EMPIRES!

I have a confession to make. I never played Psychonauts all the way through. A sin tantamount to that of Brutus’ in the eye of Caesar amongst us who like to label ourselves as the type who enjoy games that are a bit off the radar. I’d always get to about the second or third “level” and for whatever reason, move on to something else. Jess swears by it as one of the greatest games she’s ever played and continues to encourage me to give it another shot.

Maybe I should get a strong prescription for Ritalin and take her up on it.

Anyways, it’s been a few months since I’ve seen any footage of Double Fine’s Brutal Legend and I must say, it’s looking mighty Metal. The graphics are substantially better than when I first saw previews a year back and everything has that Double Fine touch. The character work really stands out and is in my opinion one of the studio’s strong points.

With Jack Black’s star power and the growing popularity of “metal” in the mainstream it looks like the team behind Psychonauts is going to have another winner on their hands. I have no doubt that this outing sees both critical AND commercial success.

Isn’t Lemmy the kill master in the game as well? The game is shaping up to be one of those must own games and the best rock game since rock n roll racer!
