The best news I ever heard yesterday was that there is an alpha build of a Turltes in Time 3D remake floating around in a bus. This was one of the games of my childhood. One of the best brawlers ever too. I also never thought I’d see a remake of this game either, since the original developer was Konami and the Turtles license is now owned by Ubisoft. But somehow money must’ve changed hands and we will see one of the bigger XBLA releases soon. Imagine 4-player Live co-op of Turtles in Time? It will be glorious.

3D remakes have been all the rage in the past few years. Well faithful remakes of classic games that is. Look at Bionic Commando last summer. That game felt fresh for a game that came out twenty years ago. A whole new generation of youngsters was able to learn how much fun swinging could be. Now a whole new gen can learn what’s it like to bury a shell a wounded knee.

What other classic games could use a 3D remake in your opinion? The one I think that needs to come back personally is Blaster Master. God what an awesome game.

    Yeah, i read about this yesterday. stoked! also, blaster master was awesome. I always cheated in the boss battles. I read in Nintendo Power that if you threw a grenade at a boss and paused the game right when the grenade exploded, the boss would continue to take damage. Then you just unpaused the game and — boom — dead boss. God that takes me back.
