Since PC games don’t get much love in this corner of the internet, let me bestow upon you these screens and video of Machinarium. Please continue reading this post after you’ve picked your jaw off the Berber office-carpet.
Done? Good. Let’s continue.
I don’t know how many of you are familiar with this game, but I’ve been watching it’s progress for a little under a year now. The plot is summed up with a single sentence on the game’s site:
A little robot who’s been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city must return and confront the Black Cap Brotherhood and save his robot-girl friend.
Well, that’s enough for me. I’m in.
With every new screen or video that gets released, I get a little more — let’s say — hmmm, how to put this on a family friendly site? FUCKING HORNY! I mean, are you seeing that screen shot up there? Look at it again. How about this one?

Seriously. This post could have consisted of three words: LOOK AT IT!
Also, it’s a point and click adventure game, the likes of throwbacks Quest for Glory, King’s Quest, Loom and even Darkseed. All games of my youth, all games I put countless hours into and got equal to that back in enjoyment and virginity. It’s like the developers ripped open a window to my heart and peered inside, whispered to each other, then proclaimed loudly: YEAH, WE CAN DO THIS!
Check out the game play video below.
Machinarium releases in the Fall of 09 for the PC platform. Please do not call me or expect me to come out and play. I’m going to be busy saving my robot-girl friend. Ah, it’s like I just ripped a page from my middle-school journal.
Hit the developers site for more screens and links. As well as a link to the design team’s previous works. Specifically Samorost 2 if you fancy some point and click adventure flash.
