By now everyone knows that 3D Realms shut down yesterday.  Ending a storied career in making games and vapor.  I feel bad for those who lost there jobs yesterday but I almost feel worse for Wired as they will now have to crown a new king of vaporware.  In any case sorry for those who lost there jobs yesterday.

However because of the shuttering of the studio I found something immensely more interesting.  It is indeed a story, a work of fiction.     13 years… no game…

    Within these 13 years we have had some fabulous games, and multiple great games from developers working on multiple projects… these guys didn’t finish this one within that time, SHAME ON THEM.

    The name fit the game… FOREVER… and in the end it officially has become the game that will be in development “FOREVER”

    Shame.
