Fallout3-Aliens

I honestly never thought Fallout 3 would be getting THIS many DLC add-on’s. I loved the wasteland so much but to have 5 expansion packs in less the one year be released is pretty awesome. Though starting to get a little suspect. I mean it took how many years for the game to be developed? And they are pumping these expansion packs out every two months? I am pretty sure that after the first few all of the expansion packs they were developed after release.

Anyway I digress. I haven’t gotten every Fallout 3 expansion pack. Only because I haven’t received a 4000 point card. But I am very happy to see the wasteland getting tons of extra content. I wonder if they saw the Burnout Paradise model and figured out a way to monetize it? To try and avoid the Dead Space 2:1 play to bought issue.

Anyway Mothership Zeta takes place in space and drops on August 3. For the customary 800 points. I may pick this one up myself!

That adds up to $110 for the whole Fallout 3 game, or $130 if you sprang for the Collector’s Edition. Classy. After the release of this DLC, people who have bought all of the DLC’s will have paid the equivalent of the price of the original game for 10-15 hours of additional content when the original game lasted 50+ hours.

The whole MS points thing also has something to do with my frustration as far as DLC’s go. I wish they’d just suck it up and give us an option to purchase 800 points instead of leaving us (well, probably only me because I don’t buy shit online very often) with 200 useless points. But hey, everyone’s got tons of extra money floating around these days, right?
