I wish I had more of a post to go with this image, but honestly, I was just looking for an excuse to post this. Looks like a war has been waging in my PAX absence, a war of bad taste. A war that my nemesis was sure I was losing. Consider the arsenal on this end significantly upped gentlemen. It’s round two and I just pulled a BFG out of my pants.
And so, about Batman Arkham Asylum. It’s good, it’s damn good. It’s Sam Fisher before he sold out and went all action game, as we witnessed first-hand at PAX. It was a sad sight, I’m sorry to say.
The stealth action genre is one of my favorite genres. I played SC: Chaos Theory co-op just under a million times with my old roommate. We got so good at it that we’d just choke bitches out and never fire one bullet, completing missions in record time. Arkham Asylum recaptures that magic on a single-player level. Hanging upside down, in the shadows, stalking your prey, darkness — always your greatest asset. I’m loving it when I actually get two minutes to rub together.
Sadly, I’m only about a few hours in, so this isn’t a proper review, but the title is getting rave reviews across the board from OTHER gaming blogs. This is what superhero games should ALL be like. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
So again, not a meaty post, but you get the idea.
