Because of the twin juggernauts of gaming that came out this November, a lot of games were pushed out to Q1 of next year. You know them, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, Build-A-Bear Workshop: Welcome to Hugsville, etc. Lots of AAA titles coming our way. Also, lots of sequels. However, besides Mass Effect 2 (which I am more excited for then I ever was or could be for Modern Warfare 2), the other game that I am highly anticipating is Dark Void. It isn’t the BSG connection either, though it’s how I first heard of the game. It isn’t the sweet looking Jetpack physics either, though as a male member of this species I can assume it’s safe to speak for all other males that Jetpacks are always always cool. Nope, none of that. It just seems that the developer (Capcom) is really trying to make a something new. Not just a new IP but something more iconic. Maybe a Mega Man for this generation of gamer? I might be over thinking this. I mean, I could be wrong and the game could end up being as sucktastic as Lost Planet but I am holding out hope. Who knows we could be in a year or two thinking of some future game as a “Dark Void Killer.”
