One of the great games from my childhood was NBA Jam. I absolutely LOVED playing this game with my older brother both in the Arcade and at home on my Genesis. It was one of the last arcade games I remember being truly great and being excited when the home version was being ported. Nick and I would spend hours playing the game and totally had a blast. Well I had a blast I seem to recall always kicking his ass. I always wondered why the game seemed to have had its day and just faded away. Why it couldn’t have been a long running franchise is beyond me. Maybe the new developers over at EA are playing just that. Right now the game is only scheduled to come out on the Wii which makes me sad because this smells and feels like a perfect XBLA or PSN game to me. Hopefully it’ll migrate over to those digital distribution networks so we can get Big Heads in HD.

probably the only sports game i’d touch, besides hotshots golf. like you, the nba jam series was a staple of my youth. Oh, Marv Albert, your lines are forever ingrained in my memories.

Is it just me or was the He’s On Fire more drawn out back in the day?

Yeah, the announcer is way subdued.

The only other game besides Diddy Kong Racing that my sister would touch. We’d always put the codes in for the hidden characters like Bill Clinton and stuff…

    SO GOOD!

    I miss my Super Nintendo.
