The worlds greatest podcast returns! Not that we really went anywhere. This week we are joined by contributers Trent and Jeremy! Jeremy has been trying to back on the podcast for quite some time but the timing has never worked in his favor. That all changed with this weeks podcast.

We had lots of great stories to discuss. Especially with all of the 3DS announcements this week. We talked about this video that every gamer should watch, NATO Coalition Forces now fighting Opposing Forces, Bobby Kotick being a douche and much much more!

Oh and when the time is right, this is the link you are looking for. Don’t click on it until you are told too though. It’s worth it.

i, too, have been wanting to play DnD for many years, but have been surrounded by unwilling friends. after TRS showed it off, i bought the DnD Red Box Starter Set ( http://is.gd/fO1UM ). i haven’t worked my way through it yet, but it guides you through setting up a character and doing a solo adventure, and also has what you need to do a first group adventure too, assuming one can muster a group together. also, the Game Parlor in Chantilly ( http://gameparlor.com/stores.html ) has DnD events every saturday and sunday, but those might be too advanced. the Game Parlor in Woodbridge has, according to the official DnD website, “encounters” events every wednesday evening, which is aimed straight at new players who only want to spend an hour or so at a time playing. i haven’t done any of this stuff yet, so take it all w/ a grain of salt. good luck.

That starter kit is very interesting. Thanks for the heads up! Never heard of the Game Parlor before but since Woodbridge is just down the road from me so I might check it out this weekend maybe. I’ve always wanted to try DnD because it looks like so much damn fun. Just no one is willing to play!
