For the first time in a long time the whole gang is back! Jess is finally back from her most recent assignment and she brought Paul along with her. Just a fair bit of warning to all of our listeners who listen with speakers and not headphones – we got a bit blue. It is kind of hard to believe that in three episodes we will be recording our 50th show. Most podcast’s fizzle after a few episodes and here we are on the verge of celebrating our 50th! It’s crazy!

This week we had our superfan Peter joined by newcomer Justin on the show. Justin was a bit timid about being on the show but I think he did a great job. That’s not to say Peter didn’t do a good job either. The man brought his “A” game. We also this week named the lightning round the Warp Zone! Seems like the most appropriate name for the newest feature to the show. Also, I like that it reminds me of our very first episode.

This episode is awesome. I know as one of the hosts on the show I am a little biased towards it but I generally feel like this is one of of top five shows. Well top ten. Jess is still out on assignment so she sadly couldn’t join us which is why the show can’t be top five. Seriously though, we ended the show and I was totally jazzed and I think anyone who listens to us will love this episode. Even those who don’t would enjoy it! Hell, I bet Rick will even enjoy it!

Since it’s been a while since our last traditional podcast we had a lot to cover and we covered it all. Our old friend Jon joined us and did a fantastic job. We covered CNN’s front page article asking what Video Games mean, Canada’s first female owned development studio, Activision thinking Call of Duty is this generations Star Wars, a 42 year old woman who used XBoxs to molest a couple of boys and Guillermo Del Toro not directing Wolfman as well as signing a development deal with THQ. And that’s just half of it if not less. It’s a great show one worth spreading around!

This week two of our co-hosts, Jess and Paul, were away on assignment. Filling in for them we had the battle of the Superfans, Trent and Peter as well as our semi-regular Chris. I’m not sure if our faithful listeners knew this but last week there was this little game convention out in LA called E3. And during this convention the big three (Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft) did some announcing. Back in the saddle again! This week we finally start to get back to some semblance of normalcy around the Bonus Level offices. And with my brand new super internet we have never sounded better! We tried something a little bit different with this podcast. Do to my move to the new Bonus Level Command Tower in Virginia and with the recent aquisition and retrofit of the Bonus Level Shadow Bunker in Maryland time has been tight for all of us here at your favorite gaming site. There isn’t much to say about this weeks podcast, outside of the fact that Jess is comedic gold once again. A good friend of Paul and Jess joined us this week as our first true Guest-Host for the whole episode. Which you’ll have to listen to hear the explanation on why he was there. Personally I think he did a fantastic job bringing an unique perspective to the discussion. As well as accents.

Couple notes here about this weeks awesome podcast. The opening has Jess saying that this is the 25th podcast when it is indeed the 26th. So that’s a blunder and totally on me. I just flat up miscounted. So don’t blame her on that one. Also, we found out after the record that Boner killed himself and that’s how he died. Just keep that in mind. I seriously considered using Verve Pipes “The Freshman” as the ending song this week but as you’ll hear, we went another way.

I debated whether to hold back a day for this one or to post it almost immediately. As you can tell, I went with the latter. My feeling was you don’t have to listen to them back to back but you will have them both right away. So here is part 2!

I’m not entirely sure if everyone will understand the show title this week. If not you need to find out where it comes from because it’s funny as hell. We decided to split up the podcast into two parts because Skype fucking sucks. Well Skype on OSX at least. There is a bug, a bad bug, where if you hang up on one person in a conference call the program crashes. It doesn’t just take out my Skype either it kills Jess and Paul’s Skype too. So we split it up into two parts.

Energon is the source of power in the Transformers mythology. I was shocked to find that isn’t common knowledge. Some people just don’t know Transformers, which is just inconceivable to me.

I’m happy to say, this week we finally got back into the swing of things in terms of the audio quality. We worked out that annoying kink and believe it’s behind us. Though only one person joined us in our chat room tonight, Paul’s friend Jon hung out with us for most of the show and we couldn’t be happier about it. Remember, as long as you have a microphone you can call us during the record. We love hearing other people’s opinions, even if their opinions suck.

I’m starting to think something is up with my equipment. While the popping and clicking from last weeks podcast is just about completely gone from Jess and Paul’s microphone it reared its ugly head at spots on my mic. It’s only noticeable once in a while so we are on the right track with it. I just hope my microphone isn’t broken or something more serious like that. This week we celebrate Paul’s birthday. And by we, Jess and Paul. In anticipation for what is apparently the storm of the century they got some liquor and well you gotta listen to it. Seriously folks we talk about Sonic 4, Fallout Vegas and getting pregnant from a stab wound. Welcome to Bonus Level.

I want to write something here about the greatness of this weeks netcast but frankly I really want to get back to playing Mass Effect 2. But this is a great episode and isn’t super long I’ve been told by numerous people that longer isn’t better so enjoy our twenty-first episode!

Here is part 1 of this weeks podcast. While we attempted to stay on topic we got a little long in the tooth as the old saying goes. To make it easier to listen we decided to split the episode into two parts but you won’t have to wait to long for the next one because it’ll be released sometime tomorrow. I may sound like a broken record at this point but we really did have a lot of fun recording this episode. We worked hard to hammer out most of the issues that have plagued us for a while all in the name to produce a really slick sounding netcast. In any case enjoy part 1 of “The Com Com Classic”.

Welcome to Season 2! Well not really, but I’m using this as a chance to change how we number these things no more dates just numbers. This weeks podcast was recorded using Garageband instead of Soundtrack Pro. Hopefully, you shouldn’t notice any difference. I did it because it was just an easier way to record. We could use live compression instead of doing all of that in post. The less we do in post the faster turnaround there can be. We took calls again which was a total blast. If you don’t think you can call in because you don’t have a microphone let me ask you something, do you own Rock Band? Because the Rock Band microphone is USB and can generally be used on most machines. One of our callers used it tonight and I know for a fact he uses a Mac. If it works on a Mac it’s going to work on a Windows machine. There were some other changes behind the scenes that I don’t want to spoil so just give it a listen and you’ll hear them soon enough. We are also going to attempt to do this weekly. We’ve done 18 of these so far and really have gotten the recording down pat. Yes there is technical problems but compared to how we first started its a billion times better. So enjoy this weeks podcast (or netcast if you prefer) and let us know how we are doing.

I honestly don’t know how it happened. I suggested the idea that this be our last podcast until after the holidays. I just assumed we would be pretty busy with family stuff for the next few weeks and both Jess and Paul agreed. So since this was going to be our last one for a while, we decided early on that we would go a bit long. A bit turned into a lot and it became an epic podcast at nearly three hours. It didn’t hurt that Paul and Jess were drinking the whole time. What lushes. I’m too tired to do the show notes tonight but look for them at some point tomorrow.

Another week, another awesome podcast! We only decided to record a podcast an hour before we went and did it so there wasn’t a lot of time to get the word out. We may finally be getting the hang of this. We recorded this episode a little different then usual but there was a purpose behind that. We were testing out a different way of doing things because on our next podcast, we will be talking live calls. Don’t look for it until after Thanksgiving (American edition) but we will allow people to skype in and chat with us. So start thinking of questions or insults because we will take whatever we get!

It was the slow time of year where there are no new announcements and it is all just hype leading up to the Christmas rush. Ok so here is part 1 of our mammoth podcast! In it we discuss World of Warcraft being shut down for a month in China, the perfect drug of WoW and Peggle being releases, Google Chromes potential impact of games and some other stuff. You’ll have to wait till Part 2 (which will be up in a few days) to hear why it’s called The FH Sound.

So you know what they say about the best laid plans right? Well to say this week’s episode was a cluster f would be an understatement. Everything recorded perfectly! We had a ball doing it as usual and we had stories to tell. Then came the post part. We’re I take the tracks and sync them up and do the basic tweaks needed. Well for some reason all three tracks were recorded at slightly different speeds making that an impossibility. Fixed that. Took a few hours but fixed it. Went to save? Crash.

Did it again. Crash. Finally I did some trickery and got it to at least export. So grand total Lance time spent on this podcast? 10 hours. Good thing I’m looking for work or else you wouldn’t have a podcast for your Fourth of July drive.

Anyway, in this weeks adventure we are once again joined by Paul of the clan Petyo. We discuss the Apple 3GS, a price drop possibility, new clothes for your sackboy and some possibly downright evil DLC. We have a special Douche of the Week that no one saw coming. This week’s podcast we went totally old school on everyone. I wasn’t in Baltimore at the BLR studios to record so we had to do it the old fashion way – over the internets. We generally stayed on topic but the truth of the matter is this week there wasn’t a lot going on. However don’t worry true believers we worked our magic and made one awesome of a podcast. Ok so I know everyone has been clamoring for this weeks podcast. I don’t blame them, this week’s is amazing to the very end. We generally stayed on topic AND came in under an hour. But many of our fans are surely asking themselves why did it take soooooooooooooooooo long to post? Well you can chalk it up to a few things actually.

We recorded this podcast at the BLR Studios near Baltimore, MD. I didn’t have my main confuser with me so I had to use my friends. He was very gracious in letting me use his machine and we should all be very thankful. Well I got the podcast ready to rock and was roaring to upload and post! But then, well, XP failed me. It seems that BOTH of my FTP clients on that machine decided not to work. Both chose to fail to connect instead of connecting.

I found out tonight that in at least one case I was using an old password but that still doesn’t explain the 5 other accounts I tried.

Ok so no big deal right? I’ll just upload it the moment I got back to my main base in New York. That is when everything decided to hit the fan. My hard drive on my main confuser decided to fail on me. Luckily I got a backup out before the death. So Lance here went from homicidal rage to something more like bad gas. So that explains why the lateness of this weeks podcast.

Anyway in this weeks adventure we discuss the big news items of the week. Something called E3 was going on and apparently some news came out. We also mixed things up this week. I could tell you here what we did but we explain it right away in the podcast so there’s no point. Enjoy!

So we have been bad this week. Our updates have been infrequent that’s for damn sure. But the truth of the matter is we all got very busy this week and some things had to go on the back burner. I went down to Baltimore this weekend to visit some friends and before I left I drove all the way out to Jess and Paul’s compound to do some stuff. One, have Paul play with my new netbook and make it awesomer. And two, record a special podcast for our faithful listeners. We had some drinks and then went at it!

In this weeks adventure all manner of things are discussed ranging from an American Gladiators feature film to Psychonauts. Even though it was a slightly slow news week we pushed through this and other issues to provide our faithful listeners an extended cut of their favorite podcast on the internet! Plus a few other crackerjacks for everyone.

There are times when things fall into place. That all you have to do is practically wave your hand and special things will happen. When we were recording this netcast, those times were nowhere to be seen.

Video problems? Check. Weird echo issues? Check. Records randomly stop recording? Check. We had a lot of issues. Oh plus our energy level was very pre-red bull. It’s not that we didn’t want to record the thing. We both very much wanted to. We love doing it and I love being the only one who can listen to it at a high quality. We literally had a case of the Mondays.

Anyway in this weeks adventure we are joined by a very special guest to discuss this weeks news. Which there wasn’t any really. So 3D Realms shutting down, a quick review of Zeno Clash, our thoughts Guitar Hero TV and of course the Douche of the Week are featured. Plus we read your emails and discuss our favorite Video Game based movies.

So here is podcast number deuce. I wonder if we should come out with a cutesy name for them. Like Levelcast or Bonus Level Radio. Or if we do that would we immediately have to be the Douche of the Weeks on a permanent basis for calling it that?

Anyway here is episode two. In it we discuss some guy killing another dude over being dominating in Call of Duty, Apple maybe buying EA, who would we bone from video game land and we get a live on-site report of the new Fallout 3 DLC – Broken Steel.
